What is innovation?

Do you remember the last time you saw your mum washing the dishes or scrubbing the floors? Inshallah, she has a dishwasher and a vacuum cleaner to help her so she can spend more time with you instead. Those things are called innovations. For such a long word, it has a really easy meaning – it means a completely new way of trying something. A way which will hopefully make you happier, because, really, nobody likes doing the dishes, do they?

Innovation in the UAE

The UAE is the most innovative country in the whole of Middle East because it works so hard to find creative solutions to problems. The government has created a special plan to make sure that the UAE becomes one of the most innovative countries in the whole world over the next seven years. Every government department now has a person in charge of its innovation to help them come up with new ideas all the time. Sounds busy!

Innovation = happiness

The government wants everybody who lives in the UAE to become a part of its innovation plan. There are lots of different innovation exams you can take and awards you can win to help you become more innovative. Our leaders would love to hear any clever ideas from their citizens because they know that the more new ways we have to make our lives easier, the happier we will be.
